Yesterday I spent the whole morning watching music videos on, trying to capture the characteristic movements of female singers such as Madonna and Björk.
I was in a creative dip and these excercises are great to recapture the feeling of what it is all about (in my opinion): looking and keep looking at people. How they move, how they are dressed etc.
I'm not joining a class, but this is almost as good.
Oh, By the way:does anyone know from which videos these sketches are?

WOW, a recommendation to everyone who is into quick sketches, caricatures and cartoons!

We had our fourth edition of "Idols" In Holland this year, and we didn't miss an episode!
This year's jury had one member who was very honest in his critique towards some contestants. Very funny for those who watched, not so funny for the singers themselves....

If you look close enough you can see the first cartoon too!

Boris Yeltsin

There was a contest at the forum of the NCN: draw Boris Yeltsin, and there was one limitation: no digital stuff.
I found it a fun challenge, having become totally digitalized the last few years.
So I went to van Ginkel in Arnhem and bought some gouache and this is what I came up with:
