iPad caricatures for Osram Benelux BV

Last week was the first time I did an iPad gig, and this week I'm having 4! It's pretty exciting,it's not very easy because of the size of the screen and the lack of pressure sensitivity of the pen. But it sure is challenging! Right now I'm using Sketchbook Pro which is the easiest and fastest app for live gigs IMHO. But who knows what the future might bring...
I'm using a simple music stand which suits me just fine.

I've been following you for a couple of years since we two used mainly Painter's digital watercolor. I really admire how you extract personality from regular people (I'm restricted to easier politicians).

Lately I've been using ArtRage Studio Pro watercolors more and more. It took me a while to master its engine and to find a simpler approach. But the natural-like effect is notable.

I know nothing about IPads but there is an ArtRage version for it to try.

Moreover, there is a warm and cooperative forum community helping in the development of the application, which is a plus.

Here are some of my latest ArtRage caricatures (yet, with a Wacom tablet):

Marion, fantastic work as always you make it seem effortless. I have an ipad and have Art studio pro and Zen brush on it, but have not found a good enough stylus to work with yet( i am thinking of the wacom one next?) Also I have just bought a HP printer to wirelessly print out (not very good at the moment), do you download the pictures to a computer and then print them out?
Best Wishes.

Hi Nelson, Yesterday evening I did 32 in 4 hours. I was really tired at the end...

Hi Bob, nice to meet you, I saw your blog, these are great cartoons! I'll give Art Rage a try, but right now Sketchbook Pro is enough challenging for me...

Hi Fatboy, I print my iPad caricatures on the spot, it works very well, no problems!

Great great work as always marion! I am very impressed with how great these look considering the limitations.
Congratulations on your new way to work!

marian, you should get an apple tv and airplay your drawings live to a tv behind you. that would be awesome.

Carlos, Angie and I have done this many times. Yes, it is very cool to show it on the big screen, and even wirelessly.

Marion, it would have been great if you could have made to the ISCA convention to see Angie's iPad class, teaching all this. Jon was in attendance, and probably could chime in!
