New iPad caricatures

Last weekend I was busy working as an iPad caricaturist.
Drawing caricatures with an iPad isn't easy. The tip of my pen is as soft and big as a sponge, which makes it difficult to draw an accurate line. But when you accept that and finally get used to it, it gets quite funny.
Here are some results, I hope you like them!

Aniek van Koot

Today, at 12 am CET, Esther Vergeer and Aniek van Koot (both dutch) will play the women's wheelchair tennis final at the Paralympics 2012 in London.
I made a caricature of Aniek in May at the Supportexpo in Utrecht. Needless to say that she's my favourite. Go girl!

Conny & Marco's wedding.

Yesterday my good friends Marco and Conny got married. We had a great time, weather was fine, food superb, friends cheerful and conversation sparkling. I had made a caricature for them and asked the guests to write a wedding wish on the passe-partout.

wheelchair caricatures

Last week I had a great gig for Invacare at the 'Supportbeurs 2012' in Utrecht. They design all sorts of products to make life for disabled people a bit easier, and they asked me to draw a wheelchair in advance and print it on my paper. So I did, and here you can see the results.

Weidegangfeest 2012

There's a new tradition in Holland: het Weidegangfeest. It's when the cows, after a dark and cold winter go outside and graze in the meadow. They hop and dance and people come looking and everybody is happy. Except for the cows, because a farmer told me that it isn't the cold that cows hate, but wind. And it sure was windy last Sunday at the Weidegangfeest 2012 in Aarle-Rixtel...
I was asked to make cartoons for the ZLTO, an agricultural organization. The purpose was to develop a dialogue between farmers and people from the city/villages. Between the rain showers I managed to finish a dozen of cartoons, of which a selection can be seen here...

The stand of ZLTO in the meadow.
   And here they go!!!(foto:
The cows in this cartoon have stagefreight.
There are many children who believe that milk comes from a plant. This farmer is showing little Billy the real story...
Inside joke for dutch people. Waai means blow.
From the back these cows look like gigantic pigs!
The result of a few hours work.
Ofcourse little goats and lambs give you a genuine feeling of spring.

FIBO 2012

I do a lot of trade shows, and most of the time the theme is something technical, or communicative, or something else boring. BUt this time I had to perform at the FIBO 2012, Europe's biggest show for fitness and bodybuild equipment, foods, clothes, supplements etc. Some freak show!! A spectacle of seeing and being seen...
 Weird banner!
